Hi, I'm Leslie - founder of Artfully Integrated
My name is Leslie, and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a master’s degree in art therapy, a former school counselor, and current school counseling specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in public education. Throughout my work in schools, I’ve seen how art can help students express who they are, reflect on their experiences, showcase their knowledge and skills, and develop a sense of meaning and purpose.
Today, I want to share my expertise with school counselors and educators on integrating art therapy-informed practices in meaningful, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive ways, so that students can maximize their potential in school and in life.
What Guides
My Work
As the daughter of immigrants from the Philippines, I understand how culture and language can shape a young person’s ability to communicate. This perspective informs my work, as art offers a way to express, connect, and belong beyond language and cultural expectations.
I focus on the principles of authenticity, creativity, non-judgment, and inclusion. Everyone's art is welcomed and acknowledged, making space to share with others who we are in a safe, reflective, and meaningful way.
